Bremond Independent School District Solves Wi-Fi Coverage Issues with D-Link Wireless Solutions on 4/6/2009

At the Bremond Independent School District, their older wireless LAN was difficult to expand and manage. Since the technology was not standardized at the time they purchased it, not only did it not support Power over Ethernet (PoE), this forced them, as a result, to wait months before they were able to deploy wireless access points (APs). And to make matters more difficult, their previous wireless network worked only sporadically—and then dying completely at one point. Preferring the benefits of using a managed network, the district pushed for finding a solutions provider that would allow them to perform firmware updates at the best cost and time efficiency.

Luckily for the district, they were able to find a PoE and managed solution in the price range they wanted from D-Link. Seeking to resolve any issues with their prior system in range, ease of installation and management, they found that D-Link’s AP management software was able to satisfy all three priorities.
