It was great. Spent some time relaxing poolside. And I got some major shopping done. But you know what I noticed as I was shopping... Wi-Fi is taking over. Last week I showed you my newest Wi-Fi enabled gadget, my cell phone. But it looks like Wi-Fi is becoming standard on more and more devices. Last year, manufacturers released 100 Wi-Fi enabled products, that's up from 22 in 2007.

Esther that is really cool, and given that mobile broadband speeds are increasing our access to Wi-Fi will be nearly instantaneous.

Oh for sure. For sure. Especially in Europe. Did you know that a recent survey has suggested that 2 million people have Fibre Broadband direct to their home?

I did not know that. I did not know that. What's Fibre Broadband?

Alright, it's like all the craze these days. With Fibre Broadband you get 100Mbps of speed with low delay. That means high speed is like ... really fast. Just think, with speeds like that you can download a video, send an email, IM messages, or even update your Twitter in the blink of any eye.

And speaking of Twitter, it's made news again. Forbes Magazine has said that Web 2.0, with Twitter included, is fast becoming a mainstay of even the most traditional of companies. D-Link included. And you the viewer can follow our tweets by typing in our screen name mydlink.
